Learn how to showcase your skills by sharing your research and leveraging popular social networks used by academics and researchers: ResearchGate, Academia, Humanities Commons, and Twitter. In addition to social networks, you will learn how to take advantage of tools like ORCID and the ISU Digital Repository to increase the impact of your work. This workshop is a great introduction for early career researchers, graduate students, and anyone else interested in learning how to meet peers and share their work online. This is a beginner-level workshop; no prior experience is needed.

Eric Schares, Engineering & Collection Analysis Librarian, will begin by sharing data on preprint publishing trends at ISU, before we dive into a broader, community-driven discussion about preprints supported by you and faculty experts. Did you attend Dr. Sever's talk and want to learn more about preprints? Join us to learn more about why some researchers have chosen to share their preprints, and how you can navigate sharing preprints of your own work!
